The Foreman is responsible for the daily supervising and running of fiber optic cable in the energized space. Foreman is responsible to recognize, assess and control potentially hazardous situations in addition to maintaining the safety of the crew by giving direction regarding procedures, road safety and general oversight, thus helping to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Supervise crew
Daily presentation of THA
Daily recordkeeping of completed work
Installation of fiber and new hardware
Stringing, sagging and clipping of ADSS
Manage materials
Job planning
Maintain safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
Class A Lineman certification
3-5 years supervisory experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong distribution operation, construction and maintenance knowledge
Proficient in climbing wood poles
Ability to read construction plans/drawings
Ethical Conduct
Work efficiently and safely
Organizational Skills
Personal Effectiveness/Credibility
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
Safe responsible operation of company vehicle
Technical Capacity
High school diploma or GED
Clean driving record
